These cases were produced by the veterinary company and came with a full complement of medicines to use by the owner with their animals. Once empty, you could order additional medicines to keep it full. One case with typed note stating it belonged to Daniel H. Burns who lived in Litchfield, CT and operated a butcher shop in the late 19th century to early 20th century. This case comes with several glass bottles. Other case with a reddish stain comes with five bottles. Both have interior labels and retain their latches. 6"H x 9 1/2"W x 6"D One case missing lock plate. Wear and losses to the wood with each case. Staining and wear to interior paper labels.
