Two Indigenous snake canes: A very well carved snake cane with a carved and incised handle above two entwined snakes, a central "collar" then two additional entwined snakes, all on a carved and blackened background, found in Elgin County, 19th C, possibly earlier, 32.5"L, and a partial root cane, the handle in the form of a merganser's head, painted, with birch bark wrap, Penobscot, 19.5, lower shaft broken off, 22.5"L. Total of 2.
