This group of four Pennsylvania stoneware pieces includes a cylindrical crock signed Phil Schaltenbrand 80 on the base and labeled Westerwald Pottery. A pair of tapered tumblers with cobalt blue floral blossoms bear incised JP monogramsand tags attributing them to Western Pennsylvania. A bulbous blue glazed vase features an incised AA over a wavy W mark.The crock and tumblers are in excellent condition. The mottled blue vase exhibits prominent glaze crawling on its side, leaving irregular patches of the clay body exposed. Typical minor firing variations are present across the group.
