This utility basket is hand-woven from oak splints using traditional ribbed construction. The design features integrated side handles and a heavy bentwood ring rim secured with metal nails. A yellow paper string tag is attached withhandwritten text reading Large Vintage/Primitive Hand-woven SPLINT OAK Basket 22 1/2 x 21 10 H.Wear is consistent with age and utility, showing several areas of broken, frayed, and missing splints along the upper edges and rim. The structure remains overall stable with a natural aged patina throughout.
