Benjamin ELAC Miracord 10 Idler Drive Turntable

A vintage ELAC Miracord 10 record changer, distributed by Benjamin Electronic Sound Corp. The unit features an idler-drive system mounted in a walnut-veneered wood plinth with a clear acrylic dust cover. The gray metal chassis includes arotary speed selector for 16, 33, 45, and 78 RPM playback. Operational controls consist of four silver-tone push buttons labeled Stop, 12 inch, 10 inch, and 7 inch. The straight tonearm is marked studio ELAC and is fitted with a cartridgefeaturing a purple stylus. This lot includes both the installed short single-play spindle and the accompanying tall multi-play stacking spindle. The rear includes integrated RCA output cables and a gray two-prong power cord. The front ofthe plinth bears a silver-tone Benjamin Miracord nameplate. The underside retains the original paper label from Electroacustic G.m.b.H. Kiel, noting serial number 322253 and 110-volt, 60-cycle AC power requirements.This classic turntable is in nice overall condition. The walnut plinth shows very well with only light surface scuffs and minor wear to the corners consistent with its age. The acrylic dust cover remains intact but exhibits visible surface scratches.
