This lot honors Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead, beginning with an array of Bay Area newspapers commemorating Garcia's passing in August 1995, including Marin Independent Journal, San Francisco Examiner, and San Francisco Bay Guardian, with front page tributes and coverage. Included is a 1991 Rolling Stone magazine featuring an in-depth interview with Garcia. The collection also features "Jerry Garcia: Harrington Street," an anecdotal personal history combining Garcia's own words, photograp , and illustrations. Phil Lesh's memoir, “Searching for the Sound: My Life with the Grateful Dead” (first edition, 2005), provides an insider perspective. Completing the lot is a Grateful Dead tour book from 1983 and a commemorative copy of "Site s & Sounds" dedicated to Garcia. This archive celebrates the profound legacy and influence of Jerry Garcia and the band.
