Excellent oil on canvas painting by Frederick A Spang (1834-1891) from Berks County, Pa. Signed lower left corner with the date 1867. Tabletop still life depicting a silver pitcher, red fez and an orange. Note the reflection of the artist in the pitcher. Spang was a Civil War veteran who served in Company C of the 15th Pennsylvania Cavalry. 18 1/2"H x 21 1/2"W Period frame, very good condition.
