One small piece of needlework the size of a handkerchief depicting a strawberry plant. Note attached to reverse states this was done in 1797 by Judith Nesly and the back in ink "Coulter Family Phila Pa". Larger sampler signed "Emma Jane Smith's Work Age 8". No year given. Alphabet sampler with a mansion, matching dogs and strawberry plants. In the original frame. Small frame, 13"H x 12"W Larger sampler with acid burn to name area and heavy toning to the sampler. Should be professionally conserved. Crack in glass.
