Mid-Atlantic crock with unusual squat form and freehand decoration extending around the crock. Attributed to Remmey, Philadelphia, Pa. 1840-1850. The ears are tooled so they have a step-down appearance. 9 3/8"H x 9"D Several small rim chips. Tight 3" hairline extending 2" in the base. Some stains.
