Attributed to Howe & Clark who were working in Athens, NY in the early 19th century. Ovoid storage jar with heavily tooled shoulder, freehand floral decoration with the head of the flower resembling a sunflower, though it does appear to have legs and the downward blue dots could represent a cane. On the rear of the crock in freehand is "2.G." with added lines similar to a sign. 12"H One small rim chip. There is a coat of 19th-century green paint on the top of the rim and the top of each handle that is heavily crazed and will come off with your thumbnail. There's another area of it below the 2G at the base of the crock. This will come off with a razor blade.
