Excellent early child's walnut dovetailed blanket chest with molded base and dovetailed feet. Note the heart shape detail to the scrollwork on the base. Interior till with dovetailed drawer, original tulip strap hinges and iron lock (no key). Beautiful dark finish is original. Originally found in Berks County, Pennsylvania. 13 1/2"H x 26 1/2"W x 12"D 2-board top has an old age split. Patina on the applied molding under the right side of the lid does not match and could be an early repair. Original glue blocks.
