Showcase #22 (1959) from DC Comics, graded CGC 1.5 (Fair/Good) with Off-White Pages. This landmark Silver Age issue features the first appearance and origin of Hal Jordan as Green Lantern, introducing one of DC’s most iconic heroes. The issue also features the first appearance of Carol Ferris, who would later become the second Star Sapphire, as well as the first appearance and death of Abin Sur. The issue also contains the first mention of the Green Lantern Corps, making this a foundational chapter in Green Lantern mythology. Featuring a John Broome story, artwork by Gil Kane and Joe Giella, and a striking Gil Kane cover, this is an essential Silver Age DC key despite its lower grade. A historically significant first appearance and cornerstone of the Green Lantern mythos, presented here in CGC 1.5 condition with Off-White Pages.
