Avengers #48 (1968) from Marvel Comics, graded CGC 4.0 (Very Good) with Cream to Off-White Pages. Featuring a story by Roy Thomas with cover and interior artwork by George Tuska, this classic Silver Age issue is a significant chapter in the history of the Black Knight. The issue features the first appearance and origin of the new Black Knight, Dane Whitman, in his armored identity, establishing the character who would become a longstanding member of the Marvel Universe. It also features the first appearance of Aragorn, the winged horse associated with the Avengers. An important Silver Age Avengers key combining the debut of Dane Whitman as the Black Knight with the introduction of Aragorn, presented here in a collectible CGC 4.0 grade.
