Classics Illustrated #159 (1960), published by Gilberton, graded CGC 5.0 (Very Good/Fine) with Cream to Off-White Pages. This is the original edition, featuring a striking painted cover by L.B. Cole, one of the most recognizable cover artists of the era. Part of the celebrated Classics Illustrated series, these comics introduced generations of readers to classic literature through lavishly illustrated adaptations. The painted cover artwork by Cole gives this issue particularly strong visual appeal and exemplifies the dramatic style that made these books so collectible.
