1880 $20 Legal Tender Note FR# 147 Elliott / White Graded and Certified by PMG 35 Choice Very Fine Obverse: A prominent bust of Alexander Hamilton, the first U.S. Treasury Secretary, is featured on the left side. Vignette: On the right side, there is an allegorical figure of Victory advancing, holding a shield and a sword. Red Seal Reverse: The reverse is printed with intricate green engravings, which led to the nickname "Greenbacks" for this type of currency. The words "TWENTY DOLLARS" are displayed, along with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and various security warnings regarding counterfeiting.
