An Avanzata two-piece vintage suit tailored in Italy for the Canadian menswear retailer Harry Rosen. The suit is crafted from pure new wool in a Glen plaid pattern, also known as Prince of Wales check, comprising tones of grey and tan. The double-breasted jacket features a 6-on-2 buttoning arrangement and wide peak lapels. The construction includes padded shoulders, a single welted breast pocket, and two jetted hip pockets with flaps. The interior is fully lined in an iridescent olive-bronze fabric and the back of the garment is ventless. The matching trousers are designed with a pleated front, belt loops, and a standard fly closure. Marbled brown resin buttons finish the jacket front and sleeve cuffs. Interior labels include the Avanzata maker mark, a Harry Rosen retailer label with Canadian Identification Number CA00572, a Woolmark certification, and care instructions for dry cleaning only. Condition: The suit is in good vintage condition showing light creasing from storage. There are some loose threads visible on the retailer label. The fabric and lining appear free from moth damage, staining, or structural wear.
