Barrette is marked as Alpaca Mexico, being of copper, nickel, and zinc composition. Decoration is abalone shell with a mother-of-pearl inlay. This peiece is 4". Brooch can convert to pendant. Is marked as Taxco, Mexico Metales Casados and has an eagle assay, dating the piece to 1948-1979. It is a Sterling Silver mixed metal composition. See photos for two very beautiful jewelry pieces.
