This Coin Was Issued By The California Film Industry In Conjunction With A Motion Picture Exposition Held In June 1923. It Contains .3617 Oz Of Silver And Has A Limited Mintage Of Only 274,077 Coins. The Obverse Features The Heads Of James Monroe And John Quincy Adams, Both Associated With The Monroe Doctrine. The Reverse Depicts The Western Hemisphere In Designs That Suggest Two Female Figures, Adding A Unique Artistic Element To This Commemorative Piece.
