Lot 7819 is a two-piece collection of MHS Cutlery handmade hatchets presented in brand-new condition. Both pieces offer the bold, rugged styling collectors associate with traditional handmade edged tools, combining substantial hatchet heads with a handcrafted appearance that gives each example plenty of personality. Unlike completely uniform mass-production pieces, handmade tools can display subtle variations that contribute to their individual character and collector appeal. Some visible surface rust is present on the blades, which should be noted when evaluating condition and can be viewed more closely in the accompanying photographs. The hatchet is one of the oldest and most recognizable forms of compact edged tools, historically valued for its portability and versatility, and handcrafted examples remain popular with outdoorsmen and collectors alike. This pair should make a distinctive addition to an edged-tool collection, rustic display, workshop, or outdoor equipment assortment. Please see photos.
