Lot 7545 highlights an extraordinary piece of 19th-century English gunmaking: a Mortimer "Ol' Betsy" Side-by-Side (SxS) double-barrel shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. Crafted in London by the legendary Mortimer gunsmithing firm, this vintage break-action double gun features impressive 30-inch barrels housing bright, shiny bores. Built around a traditional side-lock frame with exposed double hammers and twin triggers, it is fitted with a classic straight-wrist wooden stock. Rated in fair overall condition, the shotgun shows plenty of honest wear and historical patina from centuries of heritage.
