Cody MFG Thunderbird .22LR

Updated August 24, 2026

This Cody Manufacturing Thunderbird double-action/single-action revolver is chambered in .22 LR and offers an interesting small-frame rimfire configuration from a less commonly encountered manufacturer. Serial number 02260, this example features an approximately 4" barrel with a shiny bore and is in fair overall condition. The revolver utilizes a metal frame with an exposed hammer, swing-out cylinder, and traditional grip profile. The firearm currently needs work to operate properly and should be professionally inspected and repaired before use. The Thunderbird name and Cody Manufacturing markings give this revolver additional curiosity value for collectors who enjoy lesser-known commercial handguns and unusual rimfire designs. Chambered in economical .22 LR and featuring a traditional DA/SA layout, it has the familiar proportions of a recreational revolver while offering something different from the more frequently encountered major brands. With its shiny bore and project status, this example makes an interesting gunsmithing or collector opportunity. Please see photos. Cody MFG Thunderbird .22LR DA/SA 4 Shiny sn - 02260 Fair
