Remington Model 11-48 12ga

This Remington Model 11-48 is a semi-automatic shotgun chambered in 12 gauge and fitted with an approximately 30" barrel with a shiny bore. Serial number 5011978, this example remains in good overall condition and features traditional checkered wood furniture. The buttstock is cracked, an important condition issue that should be reviewed carefully prior to bidding. Introduced in the late 1940s, the Model 11-48 represented an important transitional shotgun for Remington, combining a streamlined postwar appearance with a long-recoil operating system derived from earlier Remington semi-automatic designs. The model remained in production for years and helped bridge the gap between Remington's earlier Model 11 and later gas-operated shotguns such as the Model 1100. With its long 30" barrel, classic wood furniture, shiny bore, and vintage Remington heritage, this is an interesting sporting shotgun despite the noted stock damage. Please see photos.
