1944 Mercury Dime Toned Silver Uncirculated 1944 Toned Mercury Dime 90% Silver Uncirculated Condition: This item is described as Uncirculated with notable toning present on both the obverse and reverse surfaces. The coin displays original luster underneath peripheral color variations. It is a business strike type minted at the Philadelphia Mint, as indicated by the absence of a mint mark on the reverse. The metal content consists of 90% silver and 10% copper. Historically, the Mercury Dime, designed by Adolph A. Weinman, features Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap and was minted during the final years of World War II.
