Porcelain portrait doll of Diana, Princess of Wales, approximately 17.5 inches, in the ivory hand beaded column gown with matching cropped bolero jacket replicating the Catherine Walker design sold at Christie's, with a silver tone pearl tiara, pearl drop earrings, a gold chain bracelet, a grey satin clutch and a single white silk rose. Head, shoulder plate and arms are porcelain, the eyes painted blue, the blonde wig synthetic. Note this is a portrait doll, not a bride doll. No maker mark is visible in any photograph and the back of the neck was not shown, so the Franklin Mint attribution rests on an included loose catalog brochure page rather than on a mark. There is no box, no certificate of authenticity and no edition number. A plain black display base is included. Condition is good with a small tan smudge on the bodice and light soiling on the back. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors. Please review all photos before bidding.
