2 Stearns Type III Life Vests and Paddle

Two Stearns Competitor Series flotation aid vests and one paddle. The vests are adult XX-large, model 29-57, catalog number 4180, U.S. Coast Guard approval number 160.064/2851/0, sized for a 50 to 52 inch chest and approved for persons weighing more than 90 pounds. Type III means a flotation aid, which is the class used for general boating where rescue is close at hand, and it will not reliably turn an unconscious wearer face up. Both are teal and silver grey with purple buckles and reflective bands, made by Stearns Mfg Co of St Cloud, Minnesota. The paddle has a black plastic blade, an aluminum shaft and a T grip, with no maker mark. Condition is fair. Both vests are soiled and one has heavy rust colored staining across the label panel, but all zippers and buckles are present with no tears, split seams or foam loss.
