Oil on canvas, framed. Attributed to Claude Monet (1840–1926). Depicting a riverside scene with moored boats along a shoreline of autumnal trees on the left and evergreens on the right, set beneath a vivid red-pink-orange sky whose reflection spreads across the water, the composition aligns with Monet’s mature Impressionist vocabulary, defined by broken brushwork, atmospheric light effects, and chromatic modulation across water and sky. Signed Claude Monet at the lower right. Labels on verso: Galerie Miethke, Galerie Bernheim-Jeune, and Paris Hendaye. 80 x 40.6 cm (31.5" x 16"), framed: 101.6 x 62.2 cm (40" x 24.5"). Works featuring comparable treatment of riverside moorings, reflective water, and high-key sunset palettes appear in the Musée Marmottan Monet, the Musée d’Orsay, the National Gallery, London, and the Art Institute of Chicago, all holding paintings that share similar atmospheric intensity and Impressionist surface handling.
