Antique American Mission oak rocking chair by Stickley Brothers Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan, circa 1910. A classic Arts & Crafts design featuring a substantial oak frame, three broad vertical back slats, wide flat arms, square supports and gracefully curved rockers. The chair was designed to accommodate a removable upholstered seat cushion over the original seat support. Retains the original metal "Quaint Furniture - Stickley Bros. Co. - Grand Rapids, Mich." maker's label underneath. A desirable labeled example of early American Mission furniture with strong architectural lines and attractive oak grain. Good antique condition with age-appropriate finish wear, scratches, scuffs and surface wear from use; seat cushion is not present. 34" x 30" x 26".
