5-Pc Bristol Brass Planters & Stamped Copper Tray

A five-piece collection of decorative copper housewares comprising four planters and one large circular tray. The assortment includes two cylindrical planters manufactured by Bristol Brass of Bristol, Tennessee, featuring hammered bodies,raised horizontal bands, and cast brass handles. The largest planter is fitted with lion-head handles with rings, while the medium version features simple loop handles. A smaller hammered planter of similar design and construction is alsopresent. One oval planter is marked Houston International Trad. and was crafted in Turkey from solid copper with a gadrooned vertical ribbed pattern and cast brass loop handles. The large circular tray is decorated with machine-stampedshell and scrollwork cartouches, floral sprays, and a cross-hatched ground. The Bristol Brass items feature a lacquered finish and are marked as decorative containers that are not watertight. The large Bristol Brass planter shows significant spotting and pitting to the exterior lacquered finish. The medium and small hammered planters display moderate surface wear.
