Girl & Dog pattern pottery pitcher in blue-and-white spongeware, two sides with the embossed design of a dog begging in front of a seated girl, a hard-to-find pattern made even more intriguing by a 1925 inscription on the bottom of the piece, 9" high, chips at the spout and rim. The pattern on all Girl & Dog spongeware pitchers is hard to see, likely resulting in the relatively small number produced.
