Similar to lot #54, this Richard Burkett (b. 1951) sculptural work also consists of a three-dimensional head on a plaque, this example with spike-like projections (or a crown?) around the head, the plaque signed "R. Burkett" lower right and dated "86". The plaque-like backing measures 11 3/4" square x 3/4" thick, while the head projects 3 1/4" from the surface. A tight hairline to the figure's right cheek and losses to some of the projections, otherwise great condition. For information on Burkett, see lot #54.
