Vintage Penn Prints World Map Pair - 20x24

Lot of two vintage Penn Prints reproductions of historic world maps, published in New York. The lot includes Abraham Ortelius’ ornate “Typus Orbis Terrarum” world map and Michael Mercator’s “America sive India Nova” map of the Americas. Both feature richly colored cartography, Latin inscriptions and decorative borders based on maps originally created during the 16th and 17th centuries. Each sheet measures approximately 20" x 24". Unframed, with age-related toning, creasing, edge wear and other surface wear as shown. Sold together as one decorative lot. These have been stored rolled and can be shipped that way. Forgive the clear glasses in the photos, they were used to hold down the corners for photography.
