This antique 19th-century chromolithograph print, after a celebrated masterpiece by German romantic landscape painter August Wilhelm Leu, depicts an idyllic valley in the Swiss Alps. The composition features grazing dairy cattle near a traditional rustic timber chalet along the pristine shores of a mountain lake. Towering, snow-dusted peaks and steep granite cliffs dominate the background. This fine scenic print is presented in an imposing, wide dark oak frame with a gilded inner liner.
