Seller: Kate Vanella Group Affiliation: Durham FFA Species: Goat August 8, 2026 Dear Livestock Enthusiast, Hello, my name is Kate Vanella, and this is my fifth year showing animals. I am currently in the Durham FFA, and I am raising a goat for the Butte County Fair. My marketgoat's name is Steve. I have really enjoyed working with him for the past several months.This goat has been all over California, because I decided to show him at California StateFair, and at the California Youth Ag Expo. It was super fun showing at all the big shows and was great practice for both Steve and I. I have also been working verry hard with him over these past months. I will normally wash and condition his legs 3 times a week, walk him,treadmill him, and practice showmanship as much as I can. I love showing goats and it is a super fun experience.Along with market goats I also will be showing myNigerian dwarf goats at the fair too. Their names are Snickers.Sprinkles, and Reese. I am super excited to show them in showmanship. I have had these goats for around 3 years now and have had so much fun working with them over the pastyears.I will be showing my goats on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Butte CountyFair in Gridley. The livestock auction will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 10am. If you have never been a previous buyer you will need to register to be a buyer. The registration form can be found online at www.buttecountyfair.org/livestock. If you are unable to attend the livestock auction, an online auction will be available, as well as the option for any add-ons to my project. You can find me listed on the Bid Cal Website under the Butte County Fair at www.bidcal.com.Outside of raising goats I enjoy dancing, volleyball, basketball, Skiing and wake surfing and hanging out with friends and family.
