Seller: Karson Muzzy Group Affiliation: Gridley FFA Species: Swine Karson Muzzy Gridley FFA Butte County Fair Dear Potential Buyer My name is Karson Muzzy, and I am a Junior at Gridley High School as well as a proud member of the Gridley FFA Chapter. I would like to personally invite you to the 2026 Butte County Fair Junior Livestock Auction. The market Swine show will take place on Wednesday, August 26th, where I will be showing my market gilt Berkeley. A few short days later is the Junior Livestock Auction on Saturday August 29th. For the past four years I have been showing livestock. My first year I represented Manzanita Grange, and currently starting my third year with Gridley FFA. Through these programs, I have learned valuable skills and techniques to improve my showmanship, while also gaining personal responsibility and leadership experience. These are qualities I plan to carry with me as I continue showing throughout high school. This year, I am bringing my market gilt, Berkeley to the fair. This will be my 7th fair and my 7th time raising a market hog. Berkeley is full of personality, she loves exploring outside her pen, walking in the pasture, and, more than anything, playing in the water with the dogs during hot days. She also has a mischievous side, as my boots can tell you… She sure has a taste for leather! Raising her has been both fun and rewarding, and I’ve enjoyed watching us grow together each day. Outside of the barn, I am very involved in sports and work, especially baseball, which I play year-round with my team while also providing baseball lessons for nearby boys interested in getting some extra practice in. Balancing sports and work with livestock projects can be challenging, but it has taught me discipline and time management. I still make time for my animal making sure she gets the attention she deserves. I also enjoy giving back to the community through volunteering with Gridley Little League, Gridley FFA, and the California Highway Patrol. These experiences have shaped me into a better citizen and taught me lifelong lessons about hard work and commitment. I would be honored to see you at the 2026 Butte County Fair and hope you will consider supporting me in the auction.
