5 Vintage Silver Washington Quarters $240

Updated August 20, 2026

5 Vintage Silver Washington Quarters $240 This collection of five vintage Washington Quarters features coins minted in 1937, 1942 (two coins), 1947, and 1957. These quarters are highly sought after by collectors because they were minted before 1965, meaning they are composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, containing approximately 0.1808 troy ounces of pure silver each. The obverse of each coin displays the classic left-facing profile of George Washington designed by John Flanagan. These specific coins show signs of natural circulation and aging, including a distinct patina and softening of the finer details, which adds to their historic character. With a total silver content of nearly one full ounce across the set, these coins serve as both significant numismatic artifacts and a valuable investment in precious metals.
