Struck in .500 fine silver, the obverse features the portrait of Duarte facing forward with the denomination and the date 1976. The reverse displays the national coat of arms surrounded by the inscription PRIMER CENTENARIO DE LA MUERTE DE DUARTE and the dual dates 1876-1976. This specific issue is cataloged as KM# 43 and contains silver.
