1964 Finland 1 Penni Copper Coin Uncirculated 1964 Finland 1 Penni Copper Coin Uncirculated KM# 44 This 1964 Finland 1 Penni copper coin is in uncirculated condition, displaying its original lustrous copper finish and sharp strike details. The obverse features the traditional Hannunvaakuna (Saint John's Arms) symbol, a looped square representing good luck and protection, surrounded by the inscription SUOMEN TASAVALTA and the date. The reverse displays the large numeral 1 centered between decorative elements and the word PENNI. Struck by the Mint of Finland in Vantaa, this piece carries the KM# 44 catalog designation. As an uncirculated specimen, it lacks the typical wear found on circulated currency, making it a high-quality example of Finnish numismatic history from the mid-20th century. 1964 Finland 1 Penni Copper Coin Uncirculated KM#44 Condition: This item is in uncirculated condition, retaining much of its original luster and sharp detail on both the obverse and reverse. The surfaces appear clean with minimal signs of handling, though some natural toning or minor spotting typical of copper may be present. The mint for this issue is the Mint of Finland (Suomen Rahapaja) in Vantaa. The metal content is copper. Historically, this coin was part of the first series of the "new" markka currency introduced in Finland in 1963 following a monetary reform. It features the Hannunvaakuna (looped square) symbol on the obverse, a traditional heraldic sign of good luck. The strike type is a business strike. The coin is currently raw and has not been assigned a numerical grade by a third-party service.
