Circa 1860–1880 19th-century American secretary desk featuring richly figured wood panels and traditional solid wood construction. Upper cabinet opens to reveal a fitted interior with multiple pigeonhole compartments, document dividers, small drawers, and central storage. Drop-front desk provides a generous writing surface with green felt inset. Lower section features a full-width drawer with wooden knobs and keyhole, above two paneled cabinet doors providing additional storage. Construction details include hand-fitted joinery and period-style fasteners consistent with 19th-century manufacture.
