Anglo-Indian style carved wood occasional table or stand featuring intricate pierced fretwork throughout. Rectangular upper section has a raised gallery with repeating geometric cutout decoration and a pull-out writing or serving surface. Supported by slender double-column legs joined by an elaborate pierced stretcher centered with a turned finial. Additional floral and geometric fretwork decorates the apron, corner brackets, and lower supports. Dark reddish-brown wood finish highlights the detailed craftsmanship and architectural form. An unusual decorative furniture piece with strong Indian Colonial influence. Likely early 20th century with pierced fretwork gallery, pull out shelf, bamboo formed legs, and stretcher base. 27"h 13"w 13"d
