Marv Meyer (b.1944) Richfield, MN 4.75" long Carved from a Honduran Mahogany mantlepiece recovered from a flooded house in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The calls were then sold as benefit to the victims. Each call bears Meyer's makers mark with Katrina 8/29/05, and the number out of 100 that were carved. With N.O.L.A. stamped on the other side of the barrel. This is #33 and matches with its box. Meyer is an exceptionally talented wood carver and call maker known for making everything from simple working calls to highly ornate calls in addition to turkey, crow, and other calls.
