Two collectible Lenox fine porcelain animal figurines produced in association with the Smithsonian Institution, featuring an African Elephant Calf dated 1991 and a Pygmy Hippo dated 1993. These detailed wildlife sculptures showcase the realistic animal forms and fine porcelain craftsmanship associated with Lenox collectible figurines. The 1991 African Elephant Calf measures approximately 6" tall x 5" at its widest point and depicts a young African elephant with carefully modeled features and naturalistic detailing. The 1993 Pygmy Hippo measures approximately 5" tall x 7" at its widest point, capturing the compact proportions and distinctive appearance of the pygmy hippopotamus. These pieces make an attractive pairing for collectors of Lenox porcelain, Smithsonian Institution collectibles, wildlife figurines, African animal sculptures, elephant collectibles, hippo figurines, fine porcelain animals, and vintage Lenox décor. Their neutral porcelain finish and realistic sculptural design allow them to display beautifully together or individually. African Elephant Calf: 1991, approximately 6" Tall x 5" Wide. Pygmy Hippo: 1993, approximately 5" Tall x 7" Wide. See photos for markings, details, and overall condition.
