1959-D Washington Quarter in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition, struck at the Denver Mint. This classic mid-century Washington Quarter is a 90% silver issue and a popular addition for collectors of U.S. silver coinage. Please review the photos for the exact luster, surfaces, strike, and overall eye appeal. The Washington Quarter was designed by John Flanagan and first introduced in 1932. The obverse features George Washington, while the reverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings. The 1959-D had a mintage of 62,054,232 coins. The “D” mint mark appears on the reverse below the wreath. The coin was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs approximately 6.25 grams, measures 24.3 mm in diameter, and features a reeded edge.
