Japanese Kentucky Style Percussion Pistol .45 Caliber with 10 Inch Barrel This single-shot muzzleloading percussion pistol is a reproduction of the classic 19th-century Kentucky or Pioneer pattern. The firearm is built with a 10-inch blued octagonal barrel featuring a fixed brass blade front sight and a notch rear sight. The caplock ignition system is housed on an engraved side plate with a matching scrollwork hammer. The pistol is fitted to a full-length smooth walnut-finished wood stock with a rounded bird's head grip. The hardware is comprised of brass, including a decorative side plate, trigger guard, nose cap, and two thimbles securing a wooden ramrod with a brass tip. Prominent markings stamped on the top flat of the barrel include J A P A N and the serial number 006859. The bore is rifled, consistent with high-quality Japanese-manufactured reproductions of this era.
