A vintage mid-century ceramic planter produced by Rubens Originals. The figurine depicts a stylized, seated infant characterized by large, expressive blue eyes with long eyelashes and a small tuft of brown hair on the crown of the head. The back of the head contains a circular opening for use as a planter or decorative vase. The piece is finished in a high-gloss glaze. The underside retains a red and white foil label reading Rubens originals, © Los Angeles, Made in Japan. Additionally, the number 3119 is incised into the base alongside an embossed Japan mark. Height approx. 6.75 inches (measured against a ruler). Condition: The item is in good vintage condition. There is light surface grime on the unglazed foot rim and within the interior. Fine crazing is present around the rim of the top opening. The piece is free of chips, cracks, or evidence of repair.
