This oval travel sewing kit is made of gold-toned base metal and features a scalloped edge and a hinged lid. The lid displays a cream-colored decorative panel with sewing-themed motifs, including scissors, buttons, and a safety pin. These motifs are rendered with raised gilt-style outlines and filled with blue and green enamel-like pigments. The base of the box is decorated with an engine-turned diamond pattern. Inside, the case contains a basic travel sewing kit consisting of thread, pins, and buttons. A small, indistinct mark is stamped on the front latch. Length approx. 1.875 inches (measured against ruler). Condition: The box shows moderate wear to the gold-toned plating, particularly along the edges and on the base, where the base metal is visible. There are minor surface scratches and localized tarnish. The interior of the lid shows a patch of residual adhesive.
