A rectangular jewelry or trinket box featuring a brass-toned metal frame and clear glass side panels. The hinged lid contains a beveled glass panel decorated with a floral motif depicting purple pansies and small white flowers. The interior bottom of the box is mirrored. Included is a cast metal dish in the form of a scalloped clam shell resting on three small ball feet. The underside of the dish retains a partial foil label indicating it is made of solid brass in India. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Trinket box: Length approx. 4.75 in Shell dish: Diameter approx. 4 in. Condition: The metal frame of the glass box shows surface tarnish and oxidation. There is a visible gap and misalignment at the front-left corner hinge area. The brass shell dish exhibits significant oxidation, dark spotting, and a heavy patina across its surface.
