Frederick G Quimby (American [MA], 1863-1923) oil on canvas, portrait of famed North Carolina industrialist Pleasant Henderson Hanes (845-1925). depicting a stoic man in black suit and white hair, signed in lower left corner, mounted vintage carved frame with name plate of sitter adhered to bottom center. With expected signs of age including flaked and spotted loss along the face and body and indicated in photography, some rubbing along the edge, frame with some scratches and spotted finish loss Overall measures 37" h. x 31" w.; ss: 30" h. x 24" w.
