Collection of approximately 15 vintage Mardi Gras doubloons (krewe throw coins) plus a black bead necklace and a Joe Cain Procession commemorative tag (Mobile, Alabama, 1976). Doubloons are in aluminum, gold, and purple finishes from various krewes and years with designs featuring mythology, krewe emblems, and carnival themes. Joe Cain is a legendary figure in Mobile Mardi Gras history. Displayed in a walnut display case with red felt lining (case included). A fantastic collection of Gulf Coast Mardi Gras history and carnival memorabilia.
