American Brilliant Cut Crystal Celery Tray & Set

This trio of American Brilliant Period cut crystal tableware includes pieces featuring intricate hand-cut designs characteristic of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The largest piece is an elongated oval celery tray witha deeply scalloped and serrated rim. The interior decoration consists of a central sixteen-point hobstar surrounded by panels of fine diamond cross-hatching, fans, and mitered cuts. Also included is a two-piece covered butter dishcomprising a base and a fitted domed cover, featuring a diamond-cut pattern and a star-cut top. A decorative bon-bon basket with an integral handle completes the group, showcasing panels of pinwheel and diamond cutting. All items arecrafted from heavy, clear lead crystal. Celery tray measures 10.75 x 4.5 inches.These pieces show expected minor scattered fleabites and small nicks along the serrated rims and butter dish edges consistent with age and use. The crystal remains clear and brilliant.
