An elegant vintage Chinese cloisonné enamel vase crafted on a solid brass foundation. Dating to the early-to-mid 20th century, this baluster-form piece features a highly meticulous, all-over "fish scale" (or wave) motif rendered in a vibrant, uniform turquoise-blue enamel. Fine wirework outlines each individual scale layer, creating a rhythmic and subtly mesmerizing textured design that encapsulates mid-century Asian decorative aesthetics. The collar under the rim is accented with a delicate scrolling ruyi cloud border, while the flared lip and round unadorned foot reveal the brilliant golden tone of the original brass. Condition ReportThe vase is in very good antique/vintage condition. The enamel ground is clean, bright, and free from major impact fractures or unsightly pitting. Standard minor oxidation and a soft age-appropriate patina are visible on the exposed brass rim and base underside.
